Inspiration Board

So, I joined this website called project wedding, which has thousands of great pictures. It also allows you to create an inspiration board to showcase the style that you are going for with your wedding. So, here is my first inspiration board!

Loooong time...

Sooooo...I am not so good at checking this page either! I will have to see if there is a setting that sends us an e-mail when people post a new post! Now that 1st 9 weeks exams and Homecoming is no longer eating my life, I will get back to posting and communicating with the outside world in general!

"Fill-in-the-blank-a-palooza"--kind of like, "I am the Lone Fill-in-the-blank of the Apocalypse."

So,

This has nothing to do with your nuptials or SGC2C. I was getting lunch with my co-worker on Monday. We go get spring rolls about once a week, but we usually go from ye about 12-1pm. The place we get spring rolls is always out of the combo ones(chicken, pork, veggie, shrimps)by then, and by golly, we wanted to experience many different spring rolls on this fine Monday. SO we did what anyone else would do in this unfortunate situation. We went to lunch early. We parked in the parking garage, took the elevator downstairs, and went to find our lunch. There was no one there! Food abound! We are waiting in line and my dear co-worker says to me, "Wow. Look at all those spring rolls. Its like, Spring-Roll-A-Palooza". I laughed. I smiled. I thought of your Wedding A-Palooza. Anyways, just filling you in on one of my adventurous lunches. Much love,
B

So yeah...

for a little while, I totally forgot to check this page... So, um, I suck. I blame it on the busy month of Logan's birthday party, parents visiting, and my husband leaving. =P Am I forgiven?

Headbands

Going off of Brandi's Etsy post, which I have been perusing since the summer, here are some headpieces I like. I want a headband and these are really pretty. They are all from the Etsy shop BelleNouvelleDesigns. I think I like the second one best.

Pretty Little Secrets

Hello, My Dears!

I was browsing through etsy, which I sort of do every day for at least one hour, decided that since I like pretty things, I would take a few minutes of my day and research bridal garters. Enjoy!

Reception Venue

At the end of July I looked at this venue for the reception. It's called Grand Oaks Mansion and it's at Blaine Kern Studios at Mardi Gras World (where they make Mardi Gras floats--this is next to where they make the floats). It is kind of complicated to explain, but I will try and hopefully the pictures will help. It is basically this huge room that looks like the outside grounds of a plantation. There is the facade of the plantation, trees, little ponds of water...it's really neat. You feel like you are outside, but you are inside. You basically walk into this entryway that looks like a normal venue, then you walk through a door and it feels like you are outside and then you turn around and it's the "front" of the plantation. There are also two smaller rooms that are "inside" the plantation that we are going to use for extra seating/possibly where the buffet will go. They overlook everything else. I'm posting pictures. It's really neat and unique!

Lazaro Dresses

So, yesterday I went to a Jim Hjelm/Lazaro trunk show at a bridal shop in New Orleans. I tried on three dresses and REALLY liked two of them. These are the dresses.

Dress #1:

Dress #2:

Both were beautiful. I think I liked #1 better, however, it was A LOT heavier than #2. We are going to go back in a few months and look at them again, as well as others. Perhaps if you guys do end up coming for Thanksgiving, we could go then so you could see them.

I really liked trying on dresses! It was fun.

Photographer and Florist

After doing a lot of research online (of course I still have to go in person to make sure), this is the photographer and florist I'm pretty sure I want to go with. I'm definitely sure on the photographer--he's very popular in NOLA. All the photos I've seen of this company's flowers are really nice. This is what I want to book next after getting everything settled with the venues.

This one's purty tooooo

Since you've been searching the net

I need a recommendation on where to find a Ball gown... anyone suggestions?

Dress I saw on TLC "SYTTD"

I don't know if you'll like it, but the girl who tried it on had a similar body type that you do and I thought it looked great on her! Anyway, I think it's really pretty and high fashion-like, too :)
